ECHOMETER 1076 Basic
  • The measuring range for the ECHOMETER 1076 Basic covers 0.5 to 400 mm wall thickness (depending on the probe). For the measurement of the sound velocity, all materials between 100 to 20,000 m/s can be inspected.
  • The ECHOMETER 1076 Basic uses TR probes. In addition to the standard probe for the most common wall thickness values from 1.2 to 250 mm, a high resolution probe for thin-walled components from 0.5 to 25 mm and a low-frequency probe for wall thickness values up to 400 mm are available.
  • The instrument identifies the connected probe type automatically when it is placed on the specimen or on the reference block, which is inserted in the front cover of the housing. Differences in sensitivity and characteristics are compensated automatically.

  • The innovative dual-purpose gauge with data storage and interface.
  • The measuring range for the ECHOMETER 1076 Data covers 0.5 to 400 mm wall thickness (depending on the probe). For the measurement of the sound velocity, all materials between 100 to 19,999 m/s can be inspected.
  • The ECHOMETER 1076 Data uses TR probes. In addition to the standard probe for the most common wall thickness values from 1.2 to 250 mm, a high resolution probe for thin-walled components from 0.5 to 25 mm and a low-frequency probe for wall thickness values of 5 up to 400 mm are available.
  • To avoid errors when entering a known wall thickness for the sound velocity measurement, an interface is provided to connect an electronic caliper. The mechanically measured wall thickness is then transferred in an automated, fast and error-free manner. The built-in data memory permits storage of up to 9999 readings structured in up to 999 batches each, so on-site measurements can be reliably documented.

ECHOMETER 1076 TC
  • The new ECHOMETER 1076 TC measures wall thickness and sound velocity easily and reliably - even through coatings.
  • Using the standard method (TP-BE mode) for measurement of wall thickness and sound velocity the probe is placed on the uncoated surface of the material.
  • The ECHOMETER 1076 TC offers more: Varnish or plastics coatings up to 4 mm thickness can be blanked out so you can measure highly precise also through the coating. Then the measuring result is calculated by means of successive back wall echoes.
  • The standard probe BE-BE can be used either for measurements using the TP-BE method (measuring range: 2 - 250 mm) or for through coating measurements (measuring range: 2 to 28 mm).

ECHOMETER 1077 Data
The new A-scan ECHOMETER 1077 comes with individual gate selection and measurement at zero crossing of the signal to ensure highly precise measured values with a measurement uncertainty of up to 0.01 mm, e.g. to meet the requirements of precision tube manufacturing or car body pressing. The measurements can be executed based on the multiple echo principle; as well single element transducers with or without delay line may be employed.
  • Automatic probe recognition
    When the unit is switched on or in case of probe change the data of the probe including its frequency spectrum become determined. This permits automatic selection of the probe parameters.
  • The A-scan display shows the echo curve
    The high-resolution A-scan of the ultrasound signal is especially useful with material that is difficult to measure in terms of sound properties, so to optimize measuring parameters, such as measuring range and evaluation of the signal polarity.
  • Travel time controls gain
    Besides manual and automatic gain adjustment you may select a time-dependent gain correction to compensate for the signal damping of the (up to four) first echoes so they show at the same screen height. This ensures that more well evaluable multiple echoes are available without signal clipping, especially with materials of high signal damping.
  • High measuring rate
    The high measuring rate of up to 100 Hz ensures detection also of small defects when dynamic material scanning is applied. This is particularly helpful in those cases where the residual wall thickness of corroded materials needs to be measured fast and accurately.
  • Memory and statistics evaluation
    Readings and instrument configuration may be stored conveniently in files and transferred to a computer. The statistics evaluation provides minimum and maximum values, mean and standard deviation.

ECHOMETER 1076 K
  • By means of a special probe immersed into the liquid the ECHOMETER 1076 K determines the sound velocity of the liquid, which is a measure of the substance concentration.
  • The ECHOMETER 1076 K is an instrument to measure the sound velocity of liquids. The accompanying probe is designed like a cuvette and simply gets dipped into the liquid for measurement. Each an ultrasound transmitter and a receiver are included in the probe. Their piezo elements are covered by a protective layer to prevent damage by chemically aggressive liquids to be measured.
  • Subject of measurement is the time that is required for the sound to run through a constant, defined path between transmitter and receiver being submerged in the liquid. Then the sound velocity becomes calculated by the electronic evaluation unit and is shown on the display of the gauge.
